Dr. Laine has over 22 years of experience as a practicing Radiologist with expertise in all areas of Neuroradiology, Head and Neck Radiology and Spinal Radiology.
Prior to joining Radiology Associates of Richmond in 2001, Dr. Laine was a tenured Associate Professor of Radiology and Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia. His former positions include: Division Chief of Neuroradiology, Neuroradiology Fellowship Director, and Director of the Radiology Residency Program. He has contributed to the education of over 120 radiology residents and 14 Neuroradiology Fellows.
He is past president of the Richmond Radiology Society and has served on and currently serving on many national society committees. He has presented over 100 lectures and papers at local, national and international meetings. He has authored or coauthored over 40 papers, 9 book chapters and 18 monographs. He was a prior item writer and proctor for the written American Board of Radiology (ABR) exam. Currently he is an oral board examiner for the both the ABR and CAQ for Neuroradiology.
Recently, Dr. Laine was elected Fellow of American College of Radiology, an award honoring individuals dedicated to the advancement of Radiology through teaching, research, society involvement and clinical work.
