ACR Fellowship is awarded to members of the College in good standing who have demonstrated service to ACR; evidenced significant accomplishments in scientific or clinical research in the field of radiology; made significant contributions to literature; and/or provided outstanding work as a teacher of radiology. Only 10 percent of College members have been awarded this honor.
Fellowship is awarded to diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, medical physicists, and nuclear medicine physicians at the Convocation held during the ACR annual meeting.
EFSTATHIOS SPINOS, MD, FACR
Dr. Spinos completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Central Florida. He attended medical school at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine, he completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Bowman Gray School of Medicine, and a fellowship in neuroradiology also at Bowman-Gray School of Medicine. He is board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology as well as Vascular and Interventional Radiology but since the mid-90s has primarily practiced Neurointerventional Radiology. He is a partner in Radiology Associates of Richmond in Richmond, VA where he has been since 1984. He is currently a senior member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, as well as a member of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the Virginia Radiologic Society and the Richmond Radiologic Society.
