There are various methods of breast imaging. Mammography is the process of using low-energy xrays to examine the breast which is used as a diagnostic and screening tool. Digital breast tomosynthesis can provide a higher diagnostic accuracy compared to conventional mammography. Breast MRI and ultrasound are additional methods used to detect abnormalities. Radiology Associates of Richmond has dedicated fellowship trained breast imaging physicians that pride themselves on understanding the needs and concerns of women and their breast health needs.
